The Difficult Reality

Separation anxiety is one of the most difficult things to experience for dogs and their humans. It causes severe stress in the dog and causes the dog's guardian to feel trapped, anxious, and frustrated. For the guardian, it can have a major emotional, social, and financial impact. Without treatment, separation anxiety sadly will not improve—with each stressful absence, it will likely get worse.

No matter the cause—genetics, trauma, neglect, moving, pain, insecurity, and many more potential causes—separation anxiety must be treated and not ignored or punished. It is important to remember that it is not a voluntary state for your dog. Bottom line: they are terrified of being left alone and they need your compassion and dedication.

There is hope! By teaming up with a veterinarian* and a qualified separation anxiety trainer, you can dramatically improve both the lives of the dog and the human. Let’s get started on your healing journey. What are you waiting for?

*Including your veterinarian on this journey is a requirement. Medication will not always be indicated, but it is important to keep them in the loop in case it is. We also need to make sure we are treating any existing medical conditions or any that might pop up.
